Hi, I'm Max Yang

I'm a graphic designer and illustrator. My aesthetic fuses traditional Chinese visual elements with modern American design influences, resulting in captivating and sophisticated artwork as a multilingual designer. My philosophy is to foster accessibility through the intentional use of clear design elements. Whether through Minimalist lines and contrasting colors, I seek to ensure that my work can be appreciated and understood by individuals with diverse Visual experiences and perspectives. By distilling complex ideas into their simplest forms and removing barriers to engagement, I hope to invite viewers into a dialogue that is both enriching and empowering. Ultimately, my goal as a designer is to create a space where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued.

How Are Hue?

How Are Hue? is an educational children's book aimed at teaching kids how to recognize and control their emotions. It also serves as an interactive tool for parents and educators to engage with children in teaching moments. Illustrated with the main character Zoey, the book depicts everyday stories and features accompanying little monsters. Through these narratives, children learn the importance of emotional regulation through situational examples, helping children develop healthy emotional awareness and expression skills.
